Be in the listings people check before they go out.

Bakersfield Events lists what’s on across Bakersfield and Kern County, every day. A sponsored row sits in the listing itself, labelled as paid, right where people are deciding what to do. In October 2026 the site had about 4,700 visits, nearly all from the US and two-thirds on phones, with “This weekend” the most-viewed page.

Frequently asked questions

How is a paid row labelled?

Every paid placement says “Sponsored” where an event’s time would be, is tinted gold, and names the advertiser underneath. Its links are marked as sponsored for search engines. Nothing paid is ever mixed into the listings unlabelled.

When and how do I pay?

After we approve the request and before it runs. We email a card link (Stripe, with a receipt) and Venmo and Zelle details; put your request code in the memo. Nothing is charged when you send the form.

What won’t you run?

Anything adult, hateful, misleading or illegal, political campaign ads, weapons, gambling, and payday or crypto lending. We may decline any request; if we do, nothing is owed.

Can I change or cancel it?

Before it starts, reply to our email to change the copy, picture, link or dates, or to cancel for a full refund. Once it is running we can still fix the copy or link. If we have to take it down early, we refund the days it didn’t run.

What do I get to see?

A private link with how many times the row was shown and clicked, day by day, while it runs and after. We count views and clicks only: no cookies, and nothing about who the visitors are.
