Privacy Policy

How Bakersfield Events handles your data.

Last updated: May 25, 2026

What we collect

Bakersfield Events is a public, read-only event listing. Browsing the site does not require an account and we do not ask for personal information to view events.

  • Server logs. Our hosting stack records standard web-server logs (IP address, user agent, request path, response code, timestamp). These are used to diagnose abuse, debug errors, and produce aggregate visit counts. We do not sell them.
  • Privacy-friendly analytics. When enabled, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint visitors. It reports aggregate page views, top pages, and referrers only.
  • Event suggestions. When you submit the “Suggest an Event” form we store the event details, an optional email address you provide, the page that referred you, and your user agent. This is used only to evaluate the suggestion and follow up with you. We do not publish your email.

Cookies

The site itself does not set cookies. If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense (a third party) may set cookies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted. See Google’s How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.

Third parties

  • Google Fonts (font delivery).
  • Cloudflare (DNS, optional analytics).
  • Google AdSense (when ads are enabled).
  • Mapbox (interactive map tiles, when map view is used).

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
