This trail climbs up to the ridgeline via switchbacks, then levels off. There are good views of the desert and the high country along this trail. We will meet at the top of Walker Pass and start at the PCT trail head off Hwy. 178, heading north. After 4.25 miles there is a short side trail to Morris Peak. App. 10 miles and 1,300 feet elevation gain, total R/T if you go to the peak. This is an out and back, so some of us may turn around earlier. Just make sure everyone in your carpool stays together.
