Lamarck Lakes (Bishop Creek Area)

Lamarck Lakes trail starts near North Lake and next to Piute Pass trail. I did it a few years ago and remember it to be a fairly mellow but beautiful hike. After a harder hike to Bishop Pass the day before, it will be a nice cool down hike before heading back home. To get to both Lower and Upper Lamarck Lakes, is only about 5 miles r/t, but then you have to add on another couple of miles to and from the parking lot to the t/h. And if we also do Grass Lake it will add another mile or so. Easy day. NOT for beginners of slow hikers. * 15 ESSENTIALS YOU MUST CARRY ON ALL HIKES Besides the obvious 1 1/2-2 liters of water, lunch, snack, warm jacket/wind breaker, rain gear if needed, warm hat and gloves, the following is a must to have in your day pack: 1.
