This hike is easy and informative. Not much elevation. However we are hiking on uneven terrain. Once again I will join forces with Botanist Carol from RRCIA (Red Rock Canyon Interpretive Association) Carol talks about desert plants, animals and basic geology in this beautiful State Park. And since it is Halloween time, she may have a spooky ghost story or two. We will meet at Red Cliffs parking area at 8:30 am The hike will take us through a very scenic area before entering Nightmare Gulch. We will go as far as Sacret City where we will eat lunch before heading back. Lots of nook and crannies to explore. App. 7 1/2 miles r/t Make sure to bring twice as much water as you think you might need. We will all meet at Red Cliffs parking lot, just off Hwy. 14.
