The 1950's in Bakersfield, California were a different time. Fast cars and fun times ruled the main drag, Chester Avenue, and rock and roll was pumping across the airwaves on KAFY, The BIG 55! And no one was enjoying themselves more than The Jets and The Sweet Ladies, Bakersfield's coolest of cool cats and kittens. But when evil businessman, Jack Fleming, walks into their favorite hangout, Andre's, and threatens to buy it up and put in a dry cleaners to anticipate the onslaught of new development coming with the construction of Highway 58, the coolest kids in town will have to find a way to save their spot and their streets for all future Cruisers to come. Dust off your old leather jackets and get on your poodle skirts, because this is one journey the whole family will want to see. This 50's Jukebox Melodrama musical was written and directed by our very own, Michael Prince.
